"DAVID AND KAREN"

David was born November 11, 1941 at Pontiac, Michigan. He was reared in a Christian home and attended church regularly with his family. David received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was 18 years of age. David received the call from the Lord and surrendered to the gospel ministry at the age of 32. He served as Associate Pastor under Dr. Gene Horton at Rio Hondo Baptist Church for one year, then answered the call to pastor Twin Springs Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he was pastor for 6 1/2 years. He was called to Living Word Baptist Church, Poplar Bluff, Missouri in 1989 and was Senior Pastor for 18 1/2 years. During his years at LWBC David became involved in short-term mission trips to Eastern Europe, leading several teams there.

Karen MacDonald was born in Flint, Michigan-the fifth daughter in a family of seven children. Karen was reared in a Christian home and committed her life to Jesus Christ at the age of thirteen. Her family moved to Remus, Michigan where they attended church regularly. In 1960 David moved to Remus and met Karen. They were married March 10, 1962 and had two sons, David born in 1964 and Jonathan born in 1966.

Today David and Karen have seven grandchildren and have had the joy of taking five of them on mission trips.

David and Karen are excited about the direction the Lord is leading them and are looking forward to helping you become involved in hands-on-missions.
